Outdoor Art Gallery
Each accommodation unit is decorated with exterior shutters made of cut metal sheets that depict cultural themes of the region, such as Miguel Torga, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, Cais Ferrão, Mamoa das Madorras, Castro de Sabrosa, and others. These shutters not only beautify the space but also transform the entire resort into an outdoor art gallery, providing guests with a visual and emotional connection to the local history and culture.
Trasgo Challenge
To enrich our guests' cultural experience, we offer the Trasgo Challenge. This activity invites visitors to explore the resort in search of the Trasgos hidden in the shutters. As they search, guests learn more about local stories and traditions, creating an educational and entertaining experience for all ages. This activity not only entertains but also deepens visitors' connection with the cultural heritage of Sabrosa and the Douro, making their stay at Five Sabrosa Senses memorable and enriching. A digital brochure developed by artist Joana Mundana, in collaboration with archaeologist Pedro Pereira, is also available.
